Maigret

These illustrations represent the Commissaire Maigret, the fictional police detective created by Georges Simenon. I drew him with some of his trademarks, like the moustache, the pipe, the coat and the hat. For his face, I took my inspiration from the Italian actor Gino Cervi, who played Commissioner Maigret in several movies for the Italian Television in the ’60s.
